Some NEWS updates

Sharing some updates over the past week.

• It was announced on Dec 28th that “Sen, shoku”, the play adapted from one of Shige’s short stories in “Kasa wo motanai aritachi wa”, and that Shige wrote the screenplay to, will be revived for its run from May to Jun 2021. Initially scheduled to start Jun 2020, the play was cancelled due to the COVID-19 situation. Read more about the play in our previous entry here.
  Along with the announcement of the revival, additional cast members were also announced.
  The official website is also up again, and we’ll update either in the community here or on the calendar, once the dates are released.

• NEWS FC members would have found out from the 36th issue of the newsletter that they have made an original set of playing cards that will be limited for purchase to only NEWS FC members.
  Since the previous issue of the FC newsletter, they have been taking turns at producing the newsletter, and it was Massu’s turn to produce this issue after Koyama did so for the 35th issue. They mentioned in the newsletter that they’ve always wanted to create an original merchandise for the FC members who’ve been supporting them all this time, and thought this was the perfect chance to. (M: It’d be nice if the cards can look so cool that everyone can’t help but go, “Kyaa♡” when they draw a card during a game.) The newsletter features shots from their photo shoot for the playing cards.
  Sales for the playing cards started on Jan 1st 05:00 JST, and will run till Jan 31st 23:00 JST. The cards will be available for purchase throughout the entire sale period, and everyone will be able to buy up to 5 sets per person.
  Each set of playing cards is priced at JPY 1,200 per set, and will contain 54 cards.

• It was announced during the broadcast of “Johnny’s Countdown 2020 - 2021” that a full version will be available for streaming. This full version will include a live stream only song from each of the 11 groups, as well as their New Year messages.
  The stream will be available to all JFC members, and will be available from Jan 3rd 16:00 JST - Jan 6th 15:59 JST. Tickets are priced at JPY 2,021 (tax inclusive) and are available for purchase from now till Jan 6th, 2021 14:00 JST.
