Misheard lyrics?

Usually I'm terrified of making posts to comms, but I'm half asleep and bored out of my wits.
Sometime last year, I made a post to the K8 community regarding misheard lyrics in K8 songs, and I was wondering if NEWS fans wanted to share any of theirs.

Personally, I misheard a line in Cherish terribly back when I first heard it.
I heard "Rirakkusu shite/リラックスして" as "Migaku sushi-tte?/磨くすしって?" which kind of translates as something like, "Did you say the sushi that polishes?" (Which I like to translate as, "Did you say polished sushi?" because it sounds funnier, but is not quite a proper literal translation).

I've also heard Kibou ~Yell~'s "Bounce, bounce, bounce wiz me" as "Bounce, bounce, bounce, whip me". So yeah. Anyone else want to try and rival my massive failure with their own misheard lyrics?

I'm equally fail in mishearing lyrics 8D
I can't even hear what they're singing on english 8D
The part in TEPPEN when they sing "Belive yourself 諦めてしまうから"
I ALWAYS thought they sang "Mira se 諦めてしまうから" which of course make no sense what so ever. But then again, I know NO japanese what so ever, so I didn't even try to understand anything 8D

I can't remember all the times I did it, but I always thought it was "So you can fight" instead of "so you can fly" in TEPPEN, as well as "Be yourself" not "believe yourself". It's mostly the english I don't get sometimes.

I still donno what this one is yet, but in Massu's solo Pumpkin, I have NO idea what he says after P.U.M.P.K.I.N, cuz I hear "P.U.M.P.K.I.N go you idiot." X_X What DOES he say? @_@

My most memorable one is the start of Massu's solo "Yo! What's for dinner tonight? I want a pumpkin!"

I heard it as "Yo! What's for dinner tonight? I wanna fuck you!" and for the longest time until I saw a post here I think I kept thinking oh gawd Massu please tell me your lyricist needs to be shot and you didn't write this yourself. DDD: But when I finally realized what he really said it made sooo much more sense... D:

I quite often mishear lyrics, and mostly parts in which they whisper or say something.
I misheard Yamapi's part in Liar, in which he says: "but I care what you" with "but I can't enjoy"

and in pumpkin, I can't help but hear "listen to the porno show" instead of "listen to the chorus yo."

I think I had some others but for now I can't think of some. XD

... I'm not sure about the song (my brain is kind of empty at the moment), but they _do_ sing "ase kaku sugata", but my sister always thought it was "... kusu kata" and she was wondering about the "shit"kata... XD

Also I do remember mishearing quite a lot in the beginning, but for the life of me, I can't remember... -_-;

:) I like misheard lyrics a lot, in English and Japanese and Korean. I remember reading on a message board that someone misheard KAT-TUN's "雨上がり 濡れた堤防で" from Real Face as, "Wildly angry and there's a table there." 8D I was amused by them.

Oh, it's just a katakana bastardization of English. ^^; Hooray in Japanese is spelt "Furei" because in the H line of characters, it goes Ha, Hi, Fu, He, Ho. They don't have a natural hu sound. n.n;

I think Fure is how they pronounce Hooray in Japanese, sort of like Urutora for Ultra. Really funny. xD

In Sayaendou, I have no idea what the sounds are, since they're not in the lyrics either, but I always hear "Candelabra, gun the llama"

In Yamapi's "Yubiwa" I hear "Yubiwa pajama hoshii de ienai" instead of "Yubiwa ga jama wo shite ienai" which I guess is "I want ring pajamas but I can't say it".

But I think that's it.

I listened to "Why" after reading the posts here and it DOES sound so much like "Why don't you tell me fuck you" xD

the fure thing. it's cuz Japanese doesn't have the sound "hu". that line in the alfabet goes: ha hi fu he ho. so hooray, would become furay -> fure in japanese ^_^ i love how the Japanese distort English words XD

"Miso Soup" in English is hardly a fair target, but I have to say... 'Picking up disabled food / The dinner from the shaft / I got used to ween alone, just by myself / But something makes me feel kind of nyaard' ← yeah, I have no clue. That song was full of misheard lyrics, though.

"Let's Go To The Planets" has alternately been 'let's go to the palace' and 'let's go to the palettes' (which is funnier if you're on COLOURlovers).

For the longest time, I thought "Shissou Friday Night" was called "She's So Friday Night," and I wasn't sure what to make of that.

'Ai wo' in Ryo's "code" became 'aibou' ('partner,' loosely) several times, even though I knew the correct lyrics to that song.

'Baby, you're [the] only one' in Tegomass' "Chocolate" was 'Favourite only one.' On top of that, I couldn't for the life of me decipher the line 'sotto sashe dashita hidari te no ringu,' except for the last part — a ring on the left hand — and for the longest time, I thought the song was about someone who was in love with / sleeping with a married woman. XD;

And then, of course, "Private Hearts" → 'Private Parts.' ♥

Hahahaha!!! Your friend is great. Reminds me of one time when I went to karaoke, and my friend sung and Aqua song which started off talking about food and spices from around the globe, and then it got to a part that said, "Rise and fall", but unfortunately, we do karaoke at a Korean/Japanese place, and the machine had the lyrics down as "Rice and fall".
