I'm surprised no one has posted about this yet.

Uchi was taken in by the police on July 15th when he was found shouting in a park, smelling of liquor and clearly drunk. He wasn't arrested, but they gave him a strict warning before releasing him. As expected, the news reporters got wind of it and announced the news (though they never mentioned names, since he's 18 and still considered a minor in Japan). As a result of his behaviour, Johnny's Entertainment is restricting his public appearances. They will also be re-editing the entirety of the next Ganbatte Ikimasshoi episode and reducing appearances made by Uchi's character. Whether they will do this for more than one episode was not mentioned, however.

Just thought I should probably let people know about this and try to stop any rumours from spreading ^^;

EDIT: And the latest SC episode, the one which Tegoshi had produced, has been cancelled. They will be running an old episode instead.

Apparently on the episode of BC that aired today (I think?), Uchi's parts were cut out or he had a mosaic over his face, so said my friend who watched it I think.. Uchi and Ryo were also absent from Music Station on Friday.

Ohhhh, that makes more sense XD I don't see the point of using a mosaic though. That's just... really stupid and unnecessary D: Just because you can't see his face doesn't mean he's not there.

Bah, I was under the impression that the Tegoshi-produced SC was just going to be postponed, not cancelled entirely. :\

Well for sure they didn't air it, so they cancelled it for that date, but they might air it at a later date.

Ah, I see. It's not fair, though...it's as if Johnny is punishing the fans for Uchi's actions by not letting them see Uchi. A public apology probably would have sufficed I think, but I guess that is too easy for Mr. Johnnyman. -_-

yeah.. I am waiting for a public apology right now, preferably on tv with lot's of tears x__X I might be stupid, but that is really when I decide to forgive him for this, even if it's, in my eyes, not so bad :/

Yeah, I knew all about this. I think the whole thing is stupid. But that's just me and my incredibly lenient nature...^.^;;

And the SC thing...I think that's more of a punishment for Tegoshi than for Uchi. Even if it IS just postponed.

As for GI, I really like Saburo, so I think it REALLY sucks that he's being cut, considering Uchi's roll isn't even that big (yet) to begin with...T.T

He's not being cut out entirely, but they'll be reducing the screentime that he gets in the next episode. Not sure about the rest of the series, though.

No, i know. That's what I mean. His role is already pretty small so if they cut it, he's going to be on screen for like, 2 seconds in the whole episode. Oh well. I'm over it :P

That's so ridiculous. Obviously I'm not in Japan but geesh, he's 18.. you'd think he shot someone. I don't know any 18 year olds that get drunk 0_0

I'm not completely up to date on the punishments Johnny's boys get for what's considered 'inappropriate behaviour' but was Tackey suspended when he was found drinking with the other Jrs or did he just have to give a public apology?

I'm surprised they're going as far as cancelling the SC simply because he was in it - or reducing his screen time on Ganbatte - like luv_4_gackt said - it's not like he's in it all that much anyway at this point! I would think a public suspension of appearances would be enough, ne?

I don't know if Takki was suspended, but he wasn't drinking with the other guys, actually he was the "lider" of the Juniors at that time, and this group was caught drinking and smoking at under age in Japan. So he did make a public apology (at Music Starion perhaps) and the juniors involved were finally expelled from the Jimusho... this thing really affected him, Takki i mean, since one of his best friends was on that group of juniors.
But I think this would not be Uchi's case, I mean he won't get expelled from NEWS.

I really think this all punishment thing it's way to tough for him... He must feel so bad right now T_T Like he won't EVER do it again.

Oh, okay. Thank you for the extra information. I kept hearing that he was involved in the drinking.

Alot of confusing things are being said everywhere and I think people just need to sit tight and wait on this. Too many rumours flying and it's making my head spin. But other Johnny's have done worse things and are still in so I don't see an expulsion either.

Poor Uchi, he seems to be getting it real bad. Most of the time, underage drinking doesn't matter...or at least, that's how it was when i was there ^.^ I guess being a star sucks.

They never card you over there...so....bah...the only way you can get in trouble for such is if you're caught being crazy. Like such.

Ah, silly boy, but heh he's only human. Explains why his fan wasn't up in the Johnny's shop when I went in there on the 22nd, except I was so busy and haven't been online for ages/ watched much tv so I hadn't a clue. Also explains why there was only six on them on m-sta - my friend and I were a little confused!
