THE RULES.

The much-needed revamp of the rules! It's mostly copypasta from the lovely kizuite's previous posts, but there are some new things added as well, so please read it through! No lj-cut because this is v. important stuff, sorry.

READ THIS BEFORE POSTING!

If you don't follow the rules, your post/comment will be deleted (unless stated otherwise). Depending on the offense, you can be temporarily or permanently banned as well. We will not be lenient on this.

♪ All entries posted should, obviously, be related to NEWS or any of its members.
This is common sense. It's the NEWS community after all! The mods will be the judge of whether a post is too vaguely related.

♪ Respect your fellow fans - no bashing or flaming. No spamming or drama-ing, either.
♕ news_jpopwill not tolerate any kind of bashing and/or flaming of fellow fans. If you are caught doing this, we will not hesitate to warn or ban, depending on the situation.
♕ Although it is not clearly mentioned, bashing/flaming of NEWS members and/or any other Johnny's Entertainment boys is not allowed.
♕ Your posts and comments should have a point. Don't spam. It'll be immediately deleted.

♪ Copyrighted and/or licensed media (i.e. MP3s / PVs / performances / TV shows) and posts related to copyrighted media (including, but not limited to, reprint and concert tickets re-sales) must be friends-locked.
♕ Any and all official media, i.e. from their albums, singles, DVDs and TV appearances, as well as official merchandise, i.e. shop photos and magazine scans, must be locked. We will leave a warning to lock an unlocked post; if it is not locked within 24 hours, we will delete the post in question.
♕ Johnny's Net videos are not allowed in this community.
♕ As a general rule, any post with a concerts:, music:, radio:, scans: or video: tag should be locked! There are, of course, exceptions, but those will be dealt with when necessary.
♕ Unsure of how to lock your post? Go to edit it (the blue pencil button), and change "Everyone (public)" to "Friends" in the drop-down menu next to Save Changes.

♪ Absolutely no reposting of media (music/video/scans) without full credit and granted permission, if applicable.
♕ There are many sharing clubboxes that are open for fans to download from; it is preferred, but not necessary, that you put credit to them if you are re-uploading.
♕ If you get something from the English fandom, make sure to get permission from the original source before reposting. Posts with reposted media that is from a recognizable source, but doesn't clearly state credit and that they have permission from the original source, will be deleted.
♕ Watermarks get a special mention. news_jpop will not tolerate posts with scans that have edited out watermarks. They are there for a reason and we are to respect that.
♕ If you get something from a foreign site you do not understand, do not repost unless you can find out what the original source's policy on re-sharing is.

♪ Take a look at the community's tags and memories before requesting to make sure what you want hasn't already been put up. if it hasn't been put up, please request HERE rather than making a new post.
♕ In order to keep the community from being flooded by requests, there is a separate request post. All requests must go there, or else they will be deleted.
♕ The request post is locked. If you would like to request something, please at least be a member of the community. This is also done to avoid problems with requesting copyrighted and/or licensed material.
♕ The mods will be doing a weekly request post every Saturday in order to list requests that have not been fulfilled; if your request isn't fulfilled immediately, please don't make a new post. It will hopefully be fulfilled after the mod's request post is put up.
♕ Questions and clarifications regarding subjects like who sings what, unknown song titles, concert ticket information and such, which do not have an explicit request for a download of some sort, are okay to be posted as new posts.

♪ Whenever a NEWS member has a birthday (including Kusano and Uchi), there will be a birthday post. Do not make a new post.
♕ Instead of making a new post, one of the mods will post an official birthday post and you will reply to that entry. Link to your pic spams, graphics, etc in that entry by commenting. Do not create a new post specially for their birthday. It will be deleted.
♕ Because we all love NewS, and when they have a birthday we all want to celebrate, but not all of us want to be spammed.

♪ When posting graphics, there must be at least 8 icons, 3 banners OR 1 wallpaper related to NEWS.
♕ We love the NEWS graphics too, but we don't love the spam when it's posts that have 1 NEWS -related thing and much more non-NEWS graphics. Any posts with anything less than the minimum listed above will be deleted.
♕ Please limit your previews to 3 icons, 1 banner (resized) or 1 wallpaper (resized)!

♪ Posting fanfiction is not allowed.
♕ Please go to wasurenaisa or jent_fanfics if you'd like to read or post NEWS fanfiction. The fanwork: fanfiction tag is for archival purposes only - do not use it!
♕ As an extension of this policy, advertisement of fanfiction communities, memes, exchanges etc. will also not be allowed.

♪ Posting 'where can I find JE goods in [place]" is not allowed.
♕ Please go to the_edjucator's Ultimate Shops/Stores Post of Doom, check out johnnys_outlet or ask at je_questions if you're searching for that kind of information.

♪ Please tag all posts appropriately. If you don't know which tag to use, take a look at the tagging guide or just leave it blank and the mods will do it for you.
♕ Even if you are crossposting, you must tag. The tags are pretty simple to figure out, but if you have any questions about them, don't hesitate to ask!
♕ There is no need to tag your post with all six *member: tags if your post has content with all of NEWS as a whole.
♕ Any tag with a "♔" in front of it should not be used, they are there for archival purposes until the community re-tagging is done.

♪ Remember to put any large images under an lj-cut, because there are a lot of people with slow internet connections (and narrow f-list layouts).
♕ Once again, common sense. Use your own judgement to figure out whether your image is too big; if it stretches the community's layout, it's too big. You will be warned to put it under an lj-cut or resize it.

♪ You are not allowed to link to a friends-locked post. Forcing people to immediately join/friend just to view content is just unfair.
♕ You are allowed to lock your linked post after a minimum of five days. Please state the time limit in the post, though!
♕ Friends-locked journals and members-locked communities are, for hte purpose of this rule, the exact same thing.
♕ If you feel that you deserve an exception, CONTACT THE MODS TO WORK SOMETHING OUT. These will be considered on a case by case basis, and until an agreement has been reached, please do not go against this rule.

♪ Anonymous commenting is disabled. If you have something to say, it's very easy to get an LJ account and join the community!
♕ This is to avoid unnecessary drama. Like the rule says, it's not that difficult to get your own LJ account if you have something you must say.

♪ Sales posts are, for the most part, not allowed. At the beginning of each month, a mod will post a masterpost for sales for that month. Sellers must post their advertisements for their sales there.
♕ If there are any sales posts in the main community, they will be deleted immediately.
♕ The masterpost of the month will be listed on the community sidebar, as well as tagged under the &sales post tag for easy finding.
♕ The only exception to this rule is for limited time goods, such as official concert tour preorders and order-limited goods.
♕ 'Order-limited goods'? This is for sellers who need a certain amount of orders in a specific time before they can order. For example, a seller needs 12 orders of a t-shirt in 10 days before they can order these t-shirts. These posts will be allowed in the main community.
♕ For those exceptions, you are only allowed one advertisement post a week unless you get permission from a mod to do otherwise.

♪ Please keep your font the standard size and color!
♕ It's okay if you want to emphasize something with a medium-sized font, but making your whole post huge is a definite no-no!

♪ Don't post things to the community all at once.
♕ If you've got new content to share, but your post is still on the front page, please edit it instead of making a new post!
♕ We will ask you to condense your posts otherwise.

♕ The mod email has been created for things like this, so please make good use of it! ^^
♕ Please don't PM any of the mods on Livejournal regarding the community - not only does it create confusion as to who may have received or replied to the message, some of you don't have settings that let us message you back. Which is just a ton of trouble for everyone involved, really.

My friend and I will go to Japan between 8-15 September 2012, and we really want to watch NEWS concert in Miyagi.

We don't have friends in Japan who are members of JE fanclubs or NEWS fanclub.
Buying from auction is not an option because our budget is very tight.
