[mod] quick question!

When I was creating the current tags, I chose the scans: prefix for scans and other kind of pictures because it seemed the most appropriate and I couldn't think of anything else (it was pretty late at night orz), but do you guys think images: would be better?

To make this easier I've made a poll, but if you have anything you'd like to say feel free to mention it in the comments as well!

The "scans:" prefix is better than "image:", I think ^^. Btw, could you creat a tag "scans: dvd", for DVD booklet ? And maybe "scans: screencaps" should be modified ("video: screencaps" ?), since screencaps are not really scans ^^;;

That's actually part of the reason why I was considering changing it, actually - I'd much prefer to have things segregated like this (images under one prefix, videos under another etc.) but with the scans: prefix things can get...a little confusing. I'm working on a tagging guide right now, though, so once that's done that should hopefully clear some things up!

i like 'images' better... scans seems too general.. like, if i were to post a picspam, those are not really scans, but they are pictures...

for the 2nd question,i dun think u shud split them up >,< i dunno, if there are separate tags for different magazines, there's gonna be so many tags.. sometimes it's kinda frustrating browsing onto the tags xD this is just my opinion though XD

Imo if we change the scans tag to images, that means people could just post pictures they have taken of their merch. While this might be good for previews before something came out, it can be kind of annoying if people use it 'just to show off'. (I realize 'screencaps' aren't really 'scans' but I think that can be overlooked.) Other than clarifying that, the wording you use on the tag itself doesn't matter much to me. (In the end I voted 'no').

I think not splitting up the translations tag is fine. It's just going to create more hassle for you when things get tagged incorrectly.
