[mod] a quick update re: JFC videos

Last post of the day, I promise!

Until now Johnny's Net videos have been okay here, but I've decided to follow in the footsteps of other JE comms and so from now on all Johnny's Net videos are now not allowed to be posted in the community - I know they're awesome, but the potential risk that comes from posting them is too great and I don't want this community to be the reason that these videos are discontinued because people keep on taking them from here and posting them on streaming sites, etc. where they don't belong. The rules post will be accordingly updated as such.

I hope you guys understand my reasons - if you have any comments, questions or concerns please feel free to take them up with me!

OH yeah, I was worried about that a while ago when we had a scare from Johnny's about the potential of JFC videos stopping. I definitely don't want that to happen because of the international fanbase. That would give us a horrible image and we want to look good for them so they treat us nicely =)

Are you talking about the ones on the websites or the videos fans take in Fan club too?

Honestly what's next is this community going to ban all media too? None of this is legal and if anything I bet JE cares less about these free videos than the ones that people should be paying for. I'm not saying it isn't stupid that people put them on streaming sites especially since a good chunk of them are already on a stream at johnnys net but it seems against the spirit of this community to punish the many for the possible actions of the few.

The ones on the websites. I assure you, I'm not thinking of banning all media as well, it's just that with the JFC videos there is the very real threat that JE will stop posting them entirely if they continue to find them on streaming sites.

Well that's not what I took from your post. I assumed that since you wrote Fan club and not Johnnys net that you meant to ban all videos from any Johnnys site. Most of the ones people are sharing aren't from the JFC or the FC site. So how are we suppose to know which ones you mean when there are 4 possible sources for the videos to come from.

That's fine I just don't want there to be any confusion that will cause the community to miss out on videos that most people won't be able to see otherwise.
