I don't know if this is a valid post. It's actually my first in this comm. I just wanna clarify if the "Yamapi going solo and thus, end of NEWS" rumors are true? And where did this issue start off?

No one knows if they're true yet, I think. The tabloid Friday just claims that Pi, Johnny and the WB guy were having a business dinner together, and so they're speculating that they may be planning a similar route to what Jin took.

As an Arashi fan also I'm quite used to that tabloid. Let me give you an idea with some of their posts :

And we must not forgot the fact that they try to bring out at every possibility that scandal with that girl who commited suicide ...For months. Even the other tabloids didn't try that hard.

Seeing how it didn't work, they wrote " well, since people still like them despite this let's attack them where people love them the most : their bond" ... Okay Cyzo. // Yes. They did wrote that.

Many people are comparing Yamapi going Solo to Jin's.

I'm a KAT-TUN fan. And I find this comparaison ...Stupid.

Yamapi-NewS is different from Jin-KAT-TUN.

FOR YEARS! Everyone knows that Jin wanted to be a US star. He didn't want to be an idol. The things simply went downhill in summer 2009. He asked his fans to hide their uchiwas of him, he didn't want to be seen as an idol anymore. During the CKT, usually the "pairing" changes (when they go off for an interview or something)... At some point, they remained the same, with only one changing. Now if we look back at the time, we can't deny (as fans) that they maye ave been a tension

Most of KAT-TUN and his fans KNEW he wanted to be a US star. Prefer to be alone, go solo.

Lots were hurt (me being one) when he left KAT-TUN not really because of that...But because he promised to COME BACK. And he didn't announce it officially, others did on his place.

NewS doesn't have tension. Jin did say that he didn't like KAT-TUN's music (when he was still in the band), that they don't go out all together, that he has more fun with LANDS (the band with Bandage)

Yamapi never said that about NewS.

Now though still many would prefer Jin in KAT-TUN, lost of fans are happy because KAT-TUN 5 seems happier nowadays and Jin is defintly more ahhpy as he has reached his dream.

Okay before someone said that there is a true in some rumors.

The one about Sho not being happy in Arashi and leaving the band came out when the Kirin add came out. Sho was the only one not the add. Cyzo probably saw this as a proof and went over this.

And if you follow Kchan News(Koyama) or Masterhits (Massu), they often drop in comments about NEWS and all the members... such as getting Pi to wear some denim outfit in their next concert (Massu's suggestion a couple weeks back), Tegoshi and Koyama discussing about Pi's muscles and professionalism, Ryo's super efficiency in working... And I've only followed the radio shows in the last 6 weeks (LJ being a recent discovery and a HUGE distraction from my JLPT revision..)

It's just a rumor, right? Yamapi always goes to solo and even had his own concert before but he always comes back to NEWS. He never hated NEWS as far as I see...

YUP! Yamapi is not like Akanishi (even though they are friends) that wanted to be a US star and to go solo leaving behind KAT-TUN...

Yamapi never said that he hated to be in NEWS and that he is not friends with NEWS... In fact, he enjoys being with the group at all..

Some people are so negative. No matter how we try to assure them that this won't be happening they still insist on the opposite. But whatever, only your hearts will be broken, not ours.

Anything can happen,even if Pi goes solo, lets continue to support NEWS and of course Pi too. Pi told us to believe in him and in NEWS so I will continue believing.
Pi isn't like Jin. Jin didn't enjoy being in KAT-TUN, it was easy to see that. Watching Pi with NEWS, one can see that he does love it. I won't give up that easily and be convinced by Friday, which is ALWAYS wrong. I'm foing to try to trust and believe that Pi will stay true to his word.

Hi all. I love reading the comments on news_jpop, right here. The reason is not just that most of you are CALM and not haters (arama and tokyohive are terrible places, honestly....haters abound and wait for such an opportunity to make snarky comments and add their stupid +1s and 'likes' to other snarky comments). The reason is that you guys make SENSE. You KNOW news, you know kattun, you know FRIDAY and Cyzo. Therefore, your thoughts aren't based on rumours turned into foregone conclusions, and not even on blind faith (or blind dislike/hate, as it may be). One thing I couldn't stand on TH was that people are basically thrashing Pi and comparing him to Jin like they're totally alike and are in the same situation....when there's no confirmation and no basis for comparison. So for all that, I thank you.

I have a request, actually. This may seem ridiculous, but could those of you who commented here (especially those who know about Friday's rubbish rumors) PLEASE go make a post on TH and just put those people to shame...or to peace, whichever they need. Thanks!

same thoughts. tokyohive is nvr the place i will get latest news about all the jpop artistes. they tend to be very one-sided towards certain artistes. plus in these kind of forums haters always lurk around like pests waiting to irritate ppl. they just want to see yamapi go solo because they just dislike him.
