NEWS Members' comments on the withdrawl of Yamapi and Nishikido

I know someone has translated their comments before, but I wanted to put up my version of their comments as well, just because there were some things that I took differently, and some things that might have been left out by accident.  And I want to be able to explain every little aspect of their comments so that all the international fans can understand what they're saying just as much as any other Japanese fan.

I hope that these translations make the members' feelings even a little bit more clearer and perhaps it'll give us all a little more understanding into this whole situation.

If there is anything unclear, please do no hesitate to comment/ask and I will try to clear it up to the best of my abilities.

THANK YOU! I really do appreciate this. All day I have been disheartened and almost offended by some of the mean things people have said and I feel a little bit better knowing that you are trying to clear things up! I hope all the sadness and hate passes over quickly so that we can all support them or whoever in their future endevours.

Some of us are pissed off (and rightly so) and since our "mean things" aren't directed at you, why are you offended? I'm honestly curious, not trying to pick a fight.

I'm pissed at Pi for what I see as hypocrisy and making me feel like I've been laughed at, because for two years he's been telling us to wait for them, to believe in them, and that he'll never betray us, and now this? It's like a slap in the face.

If he had been honest all along I wouldn't be half as angry, but quite frankly, I will never support anything he does after today, and if he bombs going solo, I hope he's not allowed to come crawling back to the group he abandoned.

I'm kinda an outsider in this fandom since I only like Yamapi, which doesnt make me his fan, not the group NEWS. However, putting myself in your shoes, I think it's truly understandable if some of you feel disappointed and betrayed by Yamapi and decide not to support him anymore. But non-biasedly speaking, I dont see his withdrawal from the group as anything like abandonment, yet a chance and a challenge for the new NEWS to define themselves and to shine.

It's commonly known and widely accepted that the 4 of them have been quite underrated and overshadowed by Pi and Ryo all these years in terms of popularity. And I really doubt that their potential could be fully recognized with Pi still in the group. Hence I believe that his leave would give them more room to develop and to showcase their individual skills, as well as strengthen their bond as a group.

Btw, when we're at it, I want to say something which has been bothering me since yesterday (sorry to write something like this in reply to your comment, if you dont wanna read, plz ignore). Most of the comments posted on both this community and arama were like "What the heck? How could there be a clash between NEWS's schedule and K8's, and NEWS's activities and Pi's while NEWS just literally has had no activity since forever?". I was like "How come you dont see that they'll have a comeback real soon?". And when they do, surely Ryo couldnt handle both K8's and NEWS's and maybe his own activities at the same time with all 3 schedules being extremely hectic. And Pi might not be able to balance his own career and that of the group either if he were still in NEWS. You guys might feel offended and betrayed and whatever to which extent if the 2 of them dropped out right in the midst of their comeback? And yes, of course after yesterday announcement, no wise businessman/woman would ever dare reveal their comebacks (NEWS's and Pi's) while fandom is still in such a mess. They may wait till things die down for long enough and fans calm down a lil bit then BOOM!!

I may sound too much of an optimist (I've been seeing people here and there bitterly say that they think Johhny wanna ditch 4nin NEWS and focus on their golden boy Yamapi, which I find not possible) but what I wanna express is plz look at the bright side and stop all the hatred that have spread all over the place in a lightning speed since yesterday.

See, I don't really blame Ryo for picking one group. He's overworked and constantly looks exhausted. Am I a little bitter he(or Johnny) chose K8 over NEWS? Absolutely.

But my anger at Pi is not for abandoning NEWS, it's not for wanting to try and go solo. It's for pretty much lying to our faces by telling us to wait, to have faith, and that he'll never betray us.

If this is something that's supposedly been brought up many times before between the members, then I would rather he had left us unsure or guessing than to give us false hope that made us feel like fools for believing anything he said.

When this all blows over and NEWS goes back to work (which I am praying they do, since I've always been a NEWS fan for Koyama, Shige, and Massu to begin with), I won't bash Pi or Ryo, that's not my thing. I just won't pay attention to anything they do. I respect that other people will still support them, and quite frankly I feel that makes them much better people than I am, to be able to have that kind of forgiveness.

What should I say, time flies people change. He might have genuinely meant what were said at those times but later he changed his mind. Things can change in just a blink of an eye, let alone a couple of months. But then, as outsiders, we're in no position to assume he lied nor to say he didnt. "The truth is what we want to believe in".

Well anyway, after watching some of the shows in which NEWS made an appearance and their concerts, I do think Koya, Shige, Tego and Massu have "that" in them to succeed in this entertainment world, and I kinda have a soft spot for Koya, so yeah all the best for 4nin NEWS

I'm sorry for butting in but as far as I know Johnny didn't give hint at all about NEWS comeback, and this year it can't be because Tegomass already announce tour till the end of year

And I don't know but I never really feel that the remaining 4 is overshadow by Yamapi and Ryo because I always feel NEWS is a well-balanced group

But if by making NEWS become 4 person NEWS will show some activity that we've been waiting for then I'm glad JE finally take some action on this problem :)

i just keep reminding myself to continue to support the new NEWS group. I will definitely miss seeing Ryo and Yamapi with NEWS and best of luck to both of those men!
