Tokyo-trip

I was wondering if there are any jpop events that you can go to in December in Tokyo. I'm staying for a week but cant decide wheather I should go from the 13th or the day after Christmas. As I will be alone I am trying to find fun things that are going on in the city.
Anyone willing to share some advice. When is the best time to be in Tokyo?

The tegomass concert is in Yokohama~ you should check it out!

I'll be in Tokyo from 17th December with my friend and we tried to find many things we want to do... But in the end, we only found K-Pop stuff. XD

On 18th, there is a Kajani8 concert. On 17th Tegomass. They are both in/close to Tokyo. On the 28-31st there is also a festival called countdown japan, but it's more rock-ish. The show for the 31st is already sold out. Here is the line-up: http://countdownjapan.jp/1112/artist/
There is also that LAWSON Music for all, all for music concert from 23rd-25th, but once again, I don't know how to get tickets and only for the 23rd are available right now. Homepage: http://www.musicforall.jp/

I guess the christmas lights are pretty so it would be nice to be there before christmas, however, I dont know if I would like to spend xmas-eve on my own...seems lonely :p

I'll check out if it's possible to see Kanjani or FT Island.

ive tried being there before christmas too, tokyo is amazing! and all the decorations. You'll love it.
Yeah I heard there are some kpop groups that will be going to Japan this month.

Tokyo is amazing, you'll definitely find tons of things to do whatever the time. I went there for five weeks early this year and I still ran out of time, so many things to see and do. I also went alone but didn't feel lonely for a second, Tokyo is so full of life. :)

Check out Johnny's store in Harajuku (they also sell black market tickets there for Johnny's concerts) and Tower Records in Shibuya, a must for j- and k-pop fans.

I think I have decided to go right before new years and staying for at least a week, but I heard that a lot of things are closed around that time (holidays and people going home to visit family and things) so maybe it is not the best time to go as I want to visit TBS or NTV when it's lively, maybe things are wrapped up for the years already... Sorry, ranting, I just thought since you had been there early in the year if you had any experience in this?

Johnny's countdown would be really exciting but I wonder if I'd like to watch kouhaku instead... Tickets - impossible - or so I guess.
