Reason for the countdown!

Saw it from Jap fans blog. It's just a guess, but I will really be touched if this is true.

NEWS was formed on 2003/9/15 (debuted 2004/5/12) with 9 members. Its underlying meaning is "9人で一緒に行こう！" (Jap pronunciation of the numbers; Let's go together as a group of 9!).

And this time, they are counting down to 2012/4/15, which means  "4人で一緒に行こう！" (Let's go together as a group of 4!).

Anyone touched? :'(

ah, that. it took me a while to figure it out *mumbling in front of my laptop*
i'm guessing "9人で一緒に行こう(kyuu nin de isshoni ikou)" is derived from '9'(kyuu) and '15' ('ichi - gou' if pronounced separately and it sounds similar to 'ikou'

It would be sweet if this was true though.

Ehh, but then it's just kyuu & ichi-gou, the other words were added... Seems more like fan inventions.
Well, at least in case of kyuu nin de isshoni ikou...
4人で一緒に行こう！ might have been done on purpose tho (like with the release date of Eight Rangers lol)

Doesn't it seem a little coincidental not to be related? I mean, I don't know about the words part, but having on the 15th, same as their original formation is roughly a 1 in 30 chance. The 4th could be more of a coincidence, but I'd like to think it isn't. XD

Maybe there wasn't so much thought put into the whole line. Maybe they just thought since they debuted as 9 people on 2003/9/15, then their comeback as 4 members should be on a corresponding date 2012/4/15.

And it also is the 100th anniversary of the sinking of the Titanic. >_>

It's a nice thought, but 2012/4/15 was just the day when the countdown to their first teaser ended, not their actual release date. XD Can't wait for some real announcement.
