  • He apologised for not writing after Sapporo, said it filled him with happiness after being able to see everyone’s smiles and hear everyone’s voices. Sapporo’s staff suggested them to go round Hokkaido for concerts since it’s so huge and that’s now a dream. He also mentioned going for food with the manager and another of the Sapporo staff.
    
    He then wrote about Miyagi, saying the voices were loud, and he was so happy looking at everyone while singing he almost cried. He apologised for the lousy performance for the second half of the last concert.
    
    He thanked Sapporo and Miyagi for the great time and it makes him emotional to think of how there are people waiting for them. At the end, he made a reference to a copy from a long running JR advertisement, saying to go to the universe, then ended with a word pun on the Japanese word for universe, using it as a kissing sound instead.

  
  



• NEWSRING (Apr 11)

  
  

  • It was Massu’s turn to update.

  
  

  • He started off by listing the work he has on hand - the tour, PON! regular, Netapare, Soredame!, SCP, So-en magazine’s column and how he’s grateful for all of that.
    
    He picked “Radio” as the word for the word chain, saying he’s got Master Hits, Tegomass no Radio and Kchan NEWS sometimes. Radio reminds him of how it’s important to put his thoughts into words and he tries to create the mood such that it feels like it’s a conversation between the listener and him. He also mentioned the juniors guesting on MH and hopes people would be able to recognise the juniors at the tours. He continued to say he aspires to create a radio programme where the juniors can go anytime and that it’s because of everyone that he’s managed to continue doing it for so many years. He ended by apologising how the entry got long and thanked everyone.

  • He wrote about how he had meetings for costumes recently and had to miss a going to a concert he really wanted to go. While nothing has been decided yet, he’d rather have more time for the costumes. He also talked about more people having been recognising him as being in charge of NEWS’ costumes and thanked the members for letting him do it. While there are people who might think there are other things he could have done, he just wants to do what he thinks is coolest now and aspire higher each time. He might not be doing this forever, but he’d do his best to make NEWS stylish while he’s at it. He ended off to tell people going to Shizuoka to enjoy it.

  
  

• On April 11th, Nakajima Kento (Sexy Zone) talked about going to karaoke with Massu along with mutual acquaintances on the radio. They sang ‘Aoi Bench’ together. Towards the end of the night, Kento put in a solo song of his, ‘Candy’, which has a part where fans are supposed to call out, ‘Love Kenty!’, but none of the 5~6 of their acquaintances knew the song. So Massu took the lead of shouting out ‘Love Kenty!’ so the others could get the rhythm and follow suit. (Source)




• Sakyo Jun (aka Kazamimaka), a novelist, tweeted about Massu’s voice, saying they’ve been listening to NEWS recently and when they think of Massu’s singing, the word “honey” comes to mind. It’s not just how sweet it is, but also the clearness, the smoothness, how it flows gently, the amber colour, how it fights germs...all of it is what’s honey. They also said how “Snow dance” brings out the best in the “ingredients” (Source)
