• On Aug 17, it was announced that NEWS will be appearing on “Music Station Ultra Fes 2018”, which will be airing from 12noon on Sep 17. (Source)




• It seems there will be an additional episode of SCP this month, “A Summer Special Outdoor Class”. It will air at 6pm on Aug 31. (Source)

  • It was Tegoshi’s turn to update

  
  

  • Tegoshi wrote about how he’s been busy filming the drama from morning until night. His only stress relief right now is playing games.
    
    For the past three weeks since he started filming he hasn’t been home much so Emma has been living with his mother. Every day he films, goes home, memorizes lines, then plays games.
    
    For Shiritori he picked ‘ureshii (happy)’. Even though he’s only been able to sleep 3~4 hours a day, he’s happy to be able to play Shiroyama Kotaro and he’s also been busy with the Ajinomoto Stadium concerts and other work. He’s been memorizing his lines in between breaks in rehearsal and when in transit and in the bath.
    
    He said that he hasn’t gone out at all in July, he hasn’t tanned at all, and he hasn’t been able to play sports. So once work calms down he’s going to play lots of sports.
    
    He said that the concerts were amazing, and apologized for the delay the first day and the lack of MC and that they were worried how everyone was feeling without having that time to rest. He said he was glad it didn’t rain, and it was due to the power of NEWS’ and the fans’ love. He said he was feeling energized from hearing the fans’ voices.
    
    He said they would work hard to keep moving forward, and that he had to go because the dinner break on the set of Zero was over. He asked everyone to watch.

  
  



• Shigeaki no Cloud (Aug 17)

  
  
  

  • Shige uploaded a picture of himself in the chicken mask with the tablet from the drama with the word safe on it.
    
    He commented on how Tegoshi would be showing up next episode and that his character is interesting. He said to also look forward to seeing one of the rare times Zero gets angry.
    
    He also talked about how he was relieved that the concerts went well, and that he would make sure to never forget those days. He said that he was happy to hear that many people applied for tickets, but feels bad that those who didn’t hit may be sad.
    
    He said that he wants to see everyone again, and that he wants to keep singing to make that happen.
    
    He ended by thanking everyone.

  
  

• On Aug 17, it was announced on Johnny’s Net that Johnny’s Shop will be holding a “NEWS 15th Anniversary Event”. From Sep 15 - Oct 14, the following items will be available at all Johnny’s Shop nationwide:

  
  

  • Anniversary photo (the one taken during the Aug 12 MC) - ￥160

  
  

  • Mini reprints of past photos (5 in a set x 2 versions/ set/ member) - ￥500/ set
    
    Set A: photos from 2004 - 2006
    
    Set B: photos from 2007 - 2009
    
    Set C: photos from 2010 - 2012
    
    These photos are selected by the members. Their thoughts on each period will also be on display at the shop.

  
  

  • 15th anniversary photo frame card - ￥800
    
    This comes in an envelope, with handwritten messages from the members

  
  

  • The towel and tshirt from the “Strawberry” concert will also be on sale at the Johnny’s shop during this period.
