Sorashige Book (Oct 14)
The first letter was from a listener who said that they didn’t have any interest in Johnny’s but since her younger sister was a NEWS fan she got hooked. This year she went to their concert for the first time and she’s really glad she became a fan of Shige and would support him for eternity.
Shige laughed how she’s already determined that she’ll support him forever even though she only became a fan this year, and thanked her.The next letter was from a listener who said that she got sick this year and had to take a leave of work, and returned to work in October after a year. She said that during this difficult time NEWS were there for her and without them she wouldn’t have been able to go back to work or get better. She said that she’s really thankful and loves NEWS. She said that she would always support them and was really glad that she was able to come into contact with NEWS.
Shige said that it’s him that’s thankful, that thanks to the fans support that they’ve come so far and they can never repay it back enough. He said that he’s glad they’ve been able to do so many things with the timing of the 15th anniversary. And because of that they’ve also been able to hear back more from fans, and made him realize what anniversary is. He said he would do his best to entrain everyone with his work.♪ ‘Ikiro’ ♪
For music club this week he first read a letter from a listener. They talked about Rekishi’s new album that recently came out ‘Mukishi’. The theme is ‘bakumatsu’ (The end of Tokugawa Shogunate/Edo Era) and they were really looking forward to what they would do with it. They talked for awhile more about their impressions on the album and how much they like it.
Shige said that he agreed with them and felt the same way. He said that he hadn’t realized this until he saw it on tv, but that their album names are word plays on the number album it is. Since this one is their 6th album is starts with mu which is one of the ways to read 6 in Japanese. He talked about the group and why he likes about the for awhile longer. He played their song ‘Dejima de Matteru’ and said that it’s a really good song.Next Shige wanted to talk about King of Konto and read two messages about it from listeners.
The first was from a listener who said that they wanted to know if Shige guessed who would win correctly. They said that when the comedian pair ‘chocolate planet’ that Shige had mentioned liking on ‘Uchi no Gaya ga sumimasen’, came in third they thought that Shige must have been pleased. They said that they felt that all the acts this year were good and wanted to know if Shige had watched.
The next letter was from a listener who first mentioned how they’re missing zero and then suddenly asked if he had watched King of Konto. (S: where’s the connection haha)
Shige said that he had watched it though he wasn’t able to do so in real time. He watched it well after the fact already knowing the results, and this time they didn’t announce who was moving on to the finals until broadcast. So he wasn’t as looking forward to predicting the results this time. He was just looking forward to it, there were pets that surprised him. He was surprised at Hanako getting first place. He’s seen their act before, so he was curious to see how they got there. He knows that they’re hard workers. He thought that all the participating groups were good enough that it wouldn’t be surprising if any of them had won and talked about a few of the acts that he likes including chocolate planet. He talked about how amazing and novel he found Hanako. He said that this years broadcast was really fun. He said that it’s kind of like do your job! Don’t just sit around watching King of Konto, write your book! But that it’s fine, it’s also a learning opportunity.♪ Chumu Chumu ♪
Kchan NEWS (Oct 16)
The guest this week was Massu
They talked about how fast it felt for it to already be mid-October and the anniversary concerts are already over. They talked about how they’ve had a lot of opportunities to sing this year and how they think there will be more opportunities for everyone to hear them sing getting towards the end of the year. Massu said that it’d be nice if they could appear in a lot of music programs. They said that it always feels this way, but the end of the years has come really quickly and Massu said that this year went by really fast. Koyama said that he thinks that Massu really worked hard this year, and Massu agreed saying that he doesn’t have any memory of the summer. He amended that that’s a bit of an exaggeration but he doesn’t remember the summer being hot, since he didn’t really go outside much. He doesn’t remember ajinomoto stadium being that hot, since he was sweating a lot in rehearsal for his play it didn’t feel like he sweat that much in the concert. Koyama commented that he must have just gotten used to it.
The first letter was from a listener who brought up how they have their member colors on the bottom of their mics, but there’s something that’s been on their mind since quartetto. Why doesn’t Massu’s mic have yellow on it? When they watched the recent SCP, his was the only one without his color on it.
K: Massu, tell them!
K&M: hahaha
Massu then explained that none of them are really particular about it, and especially Massu isn’t, he’d even say he doesn’t like it being yellow. So he asked them to make it not yellow, and Koyama said that he saw that happen. He said that having yellow there kind of feels like it’s just messing around, it’s not about whether or not he likes yellow, it’s just noisy looking to have yellow there. He said that he didn’t want to be controlled by his member color and Koyama agreed. Koyama brought up how Massu has been putting off member colors for so long and then suddenly put it all out there at the anniversary concerts. Koyama also confirmed that the other members aren’t that particular about the member colors either. Massu said that in the beginning they picked the colors they liked, they feel like it’s fine if Koyama wants to use yellow or if Massu wants to use green. Massu brought up how Koyama switched from orange to purple, and Koyama commented on how that was when there were a lot of members still- 9nin era and the ‘power ranger’ type colors had already been taken, so all that were left were warm colors and Koyama got stuck with orange, he said that at the time he felt like why am I Orange? He doesn’t hate orange or anything but when he saw that purple was open he decided to change on his own. Koyama said that he thought it worked out in the end since purple worked better for having their colors lined up at Ajinomoto Stadium. Massu said that any color would have been fine, and then they switched to talking about the costumes and Massu said that he really was particular about those costumes. Koyama mentioned how pictures of them in their member color costumes have been used a lot in magazines and stuff and Massu said that Tegoshis pink costume he made initially because he wanted the 4 member NEWS to be able to stand in Tokyo Dome and perform Sakura Girl in them like they did in the pink costumes they wore when they were 6. It wasn’t until after he made them that he decided to make a new costume in a different member color for the next three years. For the member colored costumes after that he made costumes that were suited to that member, for instance his yellow ones have skirts, and the green ones he made using his image of Shige, and the purple ones he made in the shape that he thought suited Koyama best. Koyama agree saying that he made them ‘Koyama-length’ and Massu added that Koyama was the one who complained the most about how hot they were. Massu said that it hadn’t been that hot for him, Koyama said that they were really hot, but praised the image they made with all four of them together. Koyama said that he’s really grateful but would like ones with more ventilation next time and Massu said that he would make mesh ones next time.
Returning to the question of the mics, Koyama said that he doesn’t care what color the mics are but that it’d be nice to have NEWS-like mics sometime and Massu agreed saying he’d like to make mics. Koyama said that since they have so many opportunities to use them it’d be nice if they had ones like how Amuro Namie has her gold mic. Massu brought up how Tackey and Tsubasa used to have their own mic covers, or design on the actual mic.♪ Seven Colors ♪
Koyama said that Gai-san brought up that while Massu was talking about not being particular with member colors, his phone case was yellow. Massu said that he didn’t want people to take this the wrong way but he actually does love the color yellow. But, he doesn’t like being made to hold yellow things, or when the wallpaper in a magazine shoot is yellow, or being made to wear a yellow shirt just because his member color is yellow. He hated it so much that for awhile he hated the color yellow. He likes yellow, but he doesn’t like having yellow = Massu, so he had a period where he avoided yellow, told people not to bring him yellow things. They clarified that he likes yellow when he’s the one who’s chosen it, but doesn’t like it when others choose yellow for him.
Massu said that Koyama and Tegoshi seem to like their member colors, whereas Shige never has green items. Koyama said that in fact he went shopping yesterday and was considering getting a purple jersey, he added that purple is a color that can look fairly mature compare to yellow. The next letter was from a listener who said that this was their first time sending in a letter, and the reason they were writing is because they were deeply moved by Strawberry and needed to get these feelings out somehow. They said that they could tell who wrote what immediately, and that she loves all the lyrics but in particular love Massu’s lyric about chocolate. She wanted to know what his intention was behind it.
Massu thanked her and Koyama said that he didn’t know what lyrics the others had written until it was time to record. He was surprised by how Massu started it, but it was also very Massu-like. Massu said that he talked with the producer about the theme of ‘anniversary’ and they came up with all the different kinds of anniversaries there are, for instance birthday, wedding anniversary, when your kids got married, when your kids were born, etc. The producer has a kid, and Massu asked him if the day his kid was born in a more important anniversary than his birthday or wedding anniversary and the producer said that that’s true. Even though Massu hasn’t experienced that himself yet, he thought that was really nice, and thought about how once he’s married and has a kid that’s probably how he’ll feel. He wanted to put those feelings into a song, so he wrote lyrics about when he was born to his parents.
He explained his line about chocolate, how chocolate bars being in the shape of blocks, and how it’s made that way to make it easier to take out of the mold, not to make it easier to break up and eat. But since people like chocolate, they take it as a kindness, they think of the shape’s purpose as being to make it easier to eat. In an era where according to how you see things you can take things as bad things, you can also change how you take it to turn it into something good. He wanted to include that message, and also as a reference to how when he was a kid he would often share trivia with his parents, like ‘Hey, did you know …?’ Though it’s possible that people who dislike chocolate would think ‘hey, what’s up with this shape!!’, people like image so they view it in a positive manner.
Koyama said that that was great, and how it’s thanks to Massu bring that kind of view to the start of the lyrics that the latter part may seem to be all separate, but is actually all connected. Massu brought up how in his lyrics, Koyama referenced a lot of lyrics of NEWS’ other songs. Koyama explained that he had wanted to include lines from Ai Kotoba, he want the image of ‘an anniversary that he’s spending with the fans’. Since they put in their thoughts and feelings towards the fans into Ai Kotoba, he wanted to use that as a ‘Michishirube (signpost)’ going forward, and it also ties into how in Shige’s Zero drama, there’s the character ‘Shirube’ and in the lyrics of ‘Ikiro’ they also use the word ‘Michishirube’ so he wanted to mix that in.
Koyama asked Massu if he knew what Tegoshi had said to the producer, and shared that he had said that he really wanted to start his lyrics with English, though didn’t say at first what he wanted to say in English. How once he starts with that the next words will come to him, and Koyama commented on how his lyrics are really ‘Tegoshi-like’. Massu said that he also thought the rhythm was very Tegoshi-like.
They also talked about how they’re be a chance for them to perform it and have everyone see it, and how even though it was only released limitedly this time, they’d like to release it on something else again in the future.
K: Speaking of ‘Strawberry’, we sang it on The Shonen Club Premium!
M: We ‘sang’ it?
K: We sang it!
M: Let’s sing it
K: (laughs) Sorry, we haven’t sung it yet, but we will be singing it on this week’s Shonen Club Premium.
He did promo for the SCP for a bit and encouraged everyone to watch it. Massu offered to play guitar and Koyama asked him if he would and Massu clarified that it would have to be air guitar and Koyama laughed asking him if that wouldn’t be embarrassing. They said that there may be a guitarist there though.♪ 36° ♪
When Koyama was reading out the information to send in letters to Kchan NEWS at the end Massu asked people to send stuff to his radio show too and Koyama said he’ll definitely get letters and asked if he could go on. Massu told him to come, so Koyama said he’d bring a Jr or someone along and Massu told him not to bring his friends along.
Koyama asked Massu if he would be leading the talk then and Massu said that he would, but it’d probably end up with Koyama feeling the pauses of silence and helping anyway. Massu said that he felt that the tone of the letters to his radio are a bit different. Koyama said that he wants to try various things they haven’t done before since it’s their 15th anniversary, and Massu called out to staff in the background that Koyama would come.
Tegomass no Radio (Oct 17)
At the opening, they talked about how it’s mid October already and it’s the time of the year when it’s tough to decide what to wear due to the changing season. Tegoshi said he always checks the weather on his phone before deciding.
M: You do such things?
T: Yeah when I have trouble deciding what to wear.
M: And in spite of that…
T: What you mean by that. Oei. What comes after “And in spite of that”? You were going to say nasty stuff right? (studio bursts out laughing) You were going to say negative things about my clothes, weren’t you!
M: Sorry, it ends at just “And in spite of that...”
T: Ah really! Sorry, I guess I was just being paranoid.
M: It ends there, in the hope of you filling in the blank yourself.
T: Ah! I see. So it could have been “Ah wow amazing!”?
M: Yeah… that’s possible.
T: I’ll take it that way. I’m positive.
They talked a bit more about the current season and said it’d be the best weather for walks and stuff once the weather stabilises. The request this week was for “LVE”, with comments from the listener on the song, including how they’re looking forward to seeing it performed at concerts. The two of them wondered if they’d be able to perform it at concerts, as it’s probably a tough song to perform live. It might be possible though, if they thought about how to go about it and practised real hard at singing. Massu was just starting to explain how it means no love without “I” when he realised he’s already said it and they went through the same process before.

The second letter was from someone whose name was “Nana” (also 7 in Japanese, so Massu went “8!” in the background and Tegoshi joined in to say “8, 9, 10!”). So Nana wrote in to say how aiko mentioned receiving a text from Tegoshi, thanking her for the beautiful fireworks at her free concert. Nana likes both aiko and Tegoshi, so they’re happy to learn about their interactions, and would like to hear more about that. Nana has also been a fan of aiko for 17 years and Massu for 12, and loves them. (T: WHAT ABOUT ME!!!!!) It’d also be nice if NEWS could hold a concert by the seaside at night.
Sakura said Tegoshi’s reaction was good. On aiko’s free concert, he said he happened to walk into the concert while walking the dog(s) with his mother. It’s one of those open-to-all kind of concerts, near the seaside. While he didn’t go super near, he stayed where he could hear until the concert ended. There were fireworks at the end and he clapped from afar.
M: It’d have been nice if you paid for that.
T: Eh? Just me? What, transfer money over at a later date?
M: Yeah it’d be better.
T: Tell her I’ll pay for the concert? It’s not as if she’s someone who’d reply, “Yes please!”
M: She might tell you the transfer details, you never know.
Tegoshi then tried to recall how they started interacting, and Massu said they used to all talk together when Tegomass appeared in the same music programmes as aiko. Tegoshi also went for meals with aiko and they'd talk about things like song composition, singing, and also random things like laundry. They probably started interacting 6 - 7 years ago. Because Tegoshi mentioned he calls aiko “Aiko-chan”, Massu tried to put in a joke here saying Tegoshi knew her as young as she was still referred to as “aiko-chan” (NOTE: the -chan suffix is usually for young children, though there are also many other cases for this. Read more here) Tegoshi had no idea how to pick it up and went “Somebody save me. HELP!” And Massu apologised. The third mail was from someone who wrote about her car meter and feeling happy each time the car meter hits a nice figure. They missed the point when it hit the 100k mark and felt rather upset about that. What are some figures they take notice of or can’t help checking? Tegoshi said “1111”, since it’s his birthday.
M: What about clocks? Like “11:11” would appear often on the clock on the phone.
T: I’d take notice if it happened to be “4:44”
M: More than “11:11”?
Tegoshi referred to an old Japanese horror film (“Gakko no Kaidan” - Probably series 2, where the clock stopped at 4:44 on Apr 4) and talked about how things you watch as a kid stick. Massu then shared how he likes it when the clock strikes midnight for birthdays. Not just for his own, but also for others, like when he’s waiting for the time to send birthday messages to people.
Sakura had a story of how the remaining credit of her card for a coffee place happened to be 777, and the shop staff also sounded extra excited when reading out the remaining credit. They talked a little on how when you buy certain items, they add up to 777.
M: It’d be better if they rounded it up to 780, wouldn’t it.
Sakura: Can’t be helped, can it.
T: HAHAHA! You’ve got this super troublesome looking face now!
Massu then moved on to talk about how there’s an increase in people using digital payment methods. He doesn’t use that, and feels if the people before and after him use that, and he uses cash, then they’d be annoyed at him, since payment by cash would take longer. Tegoshi and Sakura both use digital payment, and Massu said that’s what he wants to try doing now.
Sakura said she linked her suica card to her Apple watch, so she enters and exits the train station using her watch now. Most ticket barriers are on the right, which is why she wears her watch on her right hand.
M: That’s as if you live just for taking trains!
Sakura: That’s not true! I pay using this at convenience stores too.
They continued talking about this for awhile, and Massu said again how this is what he wants to do most. Sakura said he can! He’s got everything necessary just that he isn’t syncing things up. They then talked about how Koyama and Shige has everything at home linked up to wifi. And wondered how that works, such that they can just command for the curtains to open on their own. They also talked about how Shige’s very knowledgeable about such things and wondered how they got the conversation here. The next mail was from a listener who asked about the cafeteria inside Johnny’s and if they’ve been. Tegoshi hasn’t. Massu has, and said it’s yummy. Tegoshi asked what there is, and they apparently have daily set meals and some noodle options. Massu had the daily set meal and ramen. Tegoshi then said maybe he’d have all his meals there so as to cut down on meal expenditure, as it’s free for them. Sakura and Massu said that’s not the point. Tegoshi asked if there’re sempais and kohais there, and sounded surprised to hear Massu’s been there more than once. Massu said it's because he’s got meetings for costumes and stuff, and mentioned how he ran into Miyata and Kitayama (Kis-my-ft2) once. They ran into each other at the agency, and said to have lunch together since they all had some time. Tegoshi said again he’d go to save on meal expenses, and would ask the manager along. (Sakura: Think of the feelings of those who get asked along too!) He’d share again after he’s gone, though he’d probably forget.
For “Tegomass no Debate” this week, the first question was what they’d choose to do if they got both super sleepy and hungry at the same time. A: Bear with the hunger and sleep; B: Bear with the sleepiness and eat. They both chose A. Massu referred to the “Zensekai Kyokugen Survival 2016” programme he appeared in, and said the most painful was being sleepy and thirsty. Hunger go away, thirst becomes stronger, but even then he could sleep. So sleeping is probably the best. Tegoshi said the same thing, that of all the needs, sleep is probably the strongest.
M: He’s saying the same thing.
T: It’s the same! The reasons are the same, they are.
He said hunger is probably something people can bear with, that’s why people can fast, like how Shige does sometimes. It’s often said people often start hallucinating after going without sleep for 3 days. Sakura said she feels the same too, and was about to move on while Massu asked if she wasn’t going to decide on a winner. Sakura asked if he’s forgotten the rules, there’re no winners when they both choose the same option and he apparently thought he was going to win this round. The second question was which they wouldn’t like. A: If people stopped praising them; B: If people stopped getting mad at them. They both chose A. Tegoshi said this was a dumb question. They talked about how there’re people who do better under praise. Massu said it’s probably important to have people getting mad at them when they’re younger, though he doesn’t seem to think that way. (M: [in English] I don’t have desu ne~) Tegoshi said it’s fine to be gotten mad at if he’s in the wrong, but if he’s not it’s just annoying.
The third question was which they’d feel happier to see. A: A super beautiful rainbow; B: Shooting stars. Massu chose A and Tegoshi B. Massu talked again about the survival programme he mentioned just now. There was a huge rainbow when he reached the goal for the programme, and he cried because it was such a tough journey and it felt like the rainbow was showing him blessings. It’s also a huge rainbow, as compared to the ones they see in between buildings in Tokyo and it was really beautiful.
Tegoshi said while it’s tough to see rainbows across the sky, you could make rainbows by using water hoses and stuff. But shooting stars appear at a lower probability, and each time a shooting star shower happens it’s like an event where people gather and get excited about. He remembers seeing Leonids in elementary school while holding a Pikachu plushie and wishing it’d become the real thing. They asked which grade he was in, he can’t remember clearly but said probably not fifth or sixth grade, though if people search for it and it happens to be then, then… He then shared how he remembers seeing shooting stars with the members in the car for the shoot for the “LPS” PV. He cannot forget that scene, and it’s because of such beautiful memories that he chose shooting stars. Sakura asked if he’s seen super pretty rainbows, and he said there’s nothing like that he remembers. Sakura gave this round to Massu (T: I don’t really get this. But WELL of course you’re NOT going to understand. You’re not. They’re my memories right.) Sakura said she didn’t get the Pikachu story though the LPS one was a wonderful one. Tegoshi said that’s as good as telling kids Santa Claus doesn’t exist as Pikachu is something all kids look up to when they watch Pokemon. They made Tegoshi say “Pikachu” and he did, even going onto “Pikapi, pikapi!” Massu said he did think he might meet Pikachu someday too, when he was watching Pikachu then. But to think a plushie he owned might become the real thing is… it’d like Ted!
T: That’s great isn’t it! I don’t believe this, your heart is… your heart is crying, Sakura-chan!
Sakura: My heart is crying…!?
T: You have no dreams!
M: No worries, a rainbow will appear after.
T, Sakura: Wah, whoooo~~At the ending, they promoted “Ikiro”. And Tegoshi went “PO! PO! PO! PO! PO!”, to which Sakura and Massu both said he should stop.
Masuda Takahisa no Master Hits (Oct 19)
At the opening, he talked about going for a lot of wrap up celebrations recently, like for “Zero” and “PON!”. At the celebrations for “Zero”, he met Fukumoto Nobuyuki, the manga artist for the manga that the drama was based on. Fukumoto-san also gave him a ceramic cup and a letter, both very stylish. Since his role in “Zero” was very early in the drama, some of them behaved like “OH! It’s Massu!”, as if they had forgotten he appeared in the drama. It was nice how everyone came together, and were all thankful to the director and everything. He also went to the celebrations for “PON!”, and he’d work hard to appear in an infortainment programme like “PON!” again.
The first mail was from someone who loves eating ice cream, and asked if Massu prefers them in stick or cup form. He said he eats both, but the cups at home and the sticks outside.
♪ Ikiro ♪
The second mail was from someone who suddenly got trypophobia, and can’t eat things like strawberries, eggplants and figs because of her fear for their appearances, not that she doesn’t like the taste. People around her can’t understand what she’s scared of and make fun of her. Does Massu have anything he’s bad with that people around him doesn’t understand? He first talked about her trypophobia, and said it can’t be helped if she can’t eat them if she finds them gross. And that’s perfectly fine.
On something Massu is bad with that others don’t understand, he referred to the socks thing he talked about the previous week. He’s sure Master Hits received mails on that, like how he’s a clean freak. There are surprisingly a lot of people like that. He then shared how for trying on shoes, he’d most prefer to go from shoe to shoe, such that he doesn’t have to have his feet touch the ground at all. That’d be better for the shop too, since there’s no guarantee of buying those shoes he tries on. But that doesn’t happen all the time, and he whined a bit about that. So the thing people around him doesn’t understand is how he doesn’t like getting the soles of his socks dirty. He suddenly thought of how some socks have bumps on the soles, so he managed to link it to the listener’s phobia. The third mail was from someone who enjoys making confectionaries. What kind of confectionaries would Massu like his girlfriend to make him? And is confectionary making a plus point? He said that’s nice, and just having confectionary making as a hobby makes one a lot more feminine instantly. He’d actually like stuff with chocolate, but some Master Hits staff were saying things like chocolate gateau is really easy to make. He never knew that. So what else is there. Pound cake? Like, “I baked some.” He wondered what items can be made at home, pies? Puddings? But the number one would have to be hotcakes. He then changed his mind and went with french toast instead. He remembers his mum made them for him, and he’d probably be happier to hear there’s french toast than cake. Not the kind with strawberries and all on top, but those with maple syrup. He went back to how he only has the image of people making cookies and chocolates at home, though he’d always suspected those “home-made chocolates” are probably just store bought ones, melted and then remoulded again. He thinks confectionary is a plus point and it’s a good hobby to have.
The fourth mail was from someone who wanted to know if Massu was interested in making clothes for dogs, since he’s always designing concert costumes, and what kind he’d make if he does. He’s never thought about it, though there were times when he wondered why some dogs were wearing the clothes they were when he sees them in town sometimes. Like how the positioning of the frills are all wrong etc. It’d be fun if he could make some, like something with “Dog” embroidered on it. He’d think more properly about it if he had more time to think, like making dalmatian prints etc. Sizes would be hard, though it might be interesting to have the same range in tiny to large sizes, with the design changing midway. He’d love to have the chance to do them, but if no offer comes, he’d just end up making a bunch with nobody to wear them. He’ll be waiting for offers!
The fifth mail was from a listener whose 1.5 year-old son has been dancing to NEWS’ songs recently. Maybe because he’s been listening to these songs since she was pregnant with him? What was the first song Massu remembered? He said he’s happy to hear the son’s dancing to their songs, and shared how his friend sent him a video of their child singing “Sakura Girl”. The child can’t really speak properly yet, so it was really adorable. He wondered if 1.5 years old is too early to start singing, but he’d be happy if the son could remember their songs. He wondered if NEWS’ songs helped in fetus development, like the child becoming a more gentle person, and he’d love to be able to say that.
The song he shared from his memory was “Midnight Shuffle” from “Ginrou Kaiki File”. He remembers hearing it from TV, recording it onto cassette tape, listening to it all the time and wondering what lyrics they had. His father wrote them out for Massu by hearing to the cassette recording, but messed up one line. And he laughed at the father for that, though it might have been his mother who was the one who laughed at the father instead. This was probably the first song he wanted to learn/ find out the lyrics for a song. He’s always like songs, though he can’t remember for sure if that was the first song.♪ LVE ♪
For Masterpiece this week, he played “Bring Back the Summer”. He talked about how this is a stylish yet gentle yet sad song. It’d be cool they could add choreography to the A and B verses, and perform at concerts someday. Though if they did a live version, they’d probably just do a short version and Massu’s parts would pretty much be all cut off. He also thanked everyone for taking “Ikiro” to number one on the charts.
At the ending, he apologised for not introducing the songs from “Ikiro” earlier, and commented on how Shige didn’t come today. He was so sure Shige could come since the drama’s ended and everything. It’d be nice if he does.
