It was announced on 6 Feb that NEWS will be releasing their first ever EP, “Ongaku -2nd Movement” on 15 Mar 2023.

Going beyond “ongaku” (music). The first EP to mark the start of NEWS’ 20th anniversary.
A sequel to their 12th album “Ongaku” released last year.
Titled -2nd Movement-, this EP will let you experience music and entertainment beyond what the previous album gave you.
You will get a rich variety of music styles – musicals, rock, epic support songs – as well as enjoy the evolution of NEWS’ musical expression post-Ongaku tour.
This is a super important piece of work that will not just allow you to discover the link to the previous work’s worldview, but also signal the start of their 20th anniversary.

The previous 12th album “Ongaku” ended with the members’ “breath” (TL note: refer to the final few seconds of “Coda”).
