i hope this won't get me in trouble because it's kinda off topic...but i figured, where else best to post this if not in a community dedicated to a boy band??

random ponderings: someone asked me recently, "Do you ever wonder why bands are either all girls or all boys?? You never, or hardly ever, see a band with mixed boys and girls. Why do you think that's so?" so ~~ anyone have an answer?? my guess was that fans wouldn't want to see the girls and would only concentrate on the guys (or vice versa), but then the person made the point that both all-boy and all-girl bands are usually targeted towards girls (the example she used was spice girls)

sorry for the randomness, but i didn't know who else to ask >.< lol

in the uk there have been a lot of really popular mixed boy/girl pop bands, ie steps, s club 7, hear'say (i said popular not good XD) I don't know of any Japanese ones though? I think that mixed boy/girl bands are marketed more towards little kids, and boy bands/ girl bands marketed more towards teenagers who want to emulate the girls and lust after the boys? I don't know...
