High School Musical: Stageplay is already done Tokyo, HMS Cast begin performing today in Osaka

and then yet Koyama has another project lined up.

Koyama will seiyuu for Troy in High School Musical 2, that apparently will be shown on Fuji TV not in Disney Channel.

It has been confirmed on 7/4 that Koyama Keichiro (23), from the popular group NEWS will try voice acting for the first time. Koyama will voice over Troy in the Japanese version of the American movie, "High School Musical2", which will air on September 17th with FujiTV.

"HSM2" is a continuation of the popular original movie (HSM) shown on the Disney Channel. In the previous musical version, Koyama acted, for the first time, as the main character and FujiTV, who gained the copyright to show on television, decided to make a Japanese voice over version with the musical cast. Because the voice actor/actresses have been practicing their parts for the musical, it seems like they'll have wonderful communication.

Koyama, who had the main role for the first time in the previous work, (HSM), had a strong personal feeling for the show, and commented excitedly, "I'm thinking of having extra fun voice-acting troy, the way I had extreme fun acting Troy in the musical". He is psyched up for this (HSM2), and said "I want to prepare for this before I challenge this so I can expand my work".

...so i'm guessing that the people are going to be from the movie, and the voices will be different...?

i havent seen the show, but i know its going to be weird seeing Tamaki Nami's voice coming out of Vanessa Ann Hudgens' face, and Koyama's voice coming from... Zac Efron....? ...LOL

yeah it does sound abit weird imagining koyama's voice out of zac efron's mouth.
but even so, wouldn't the whole thing still be considered High School Musical as it is?
why is it High School Musical 2(HSM2) ?
then again, maybe there is a sequal that im not aware of...?
