news_jpopHi! ^o^ This is an old article from 2004, and I think it clearly shows that NEWS were still not a functional group. It also puts YamaP before everyone else and devotes more pages to him than to the others. I'm really glad this changed today. I think I'll do some more translations of older articles.

[To my family]
To me, family is something that I am going to protect all my life. Normally, I don't much about my job, but they still seem to check all the TV shows in which NEWS is appearing, and I feel that they are always rooting for me. I'm really grateful! I'm going to take care of them from now on too!
[To the members]
Just now, I compared Shige's and my height, and it became clear that we are exactly the same height. *laughs* Which means that I've grown a little. Happy! With NEWS, all members are already the light and easygoing type, but I think we've become even more easygoing. I think we also strongly feel that we want to improve, I guess in a good sense we're progressing.

There's no need to say again how important our fans are to us, but I want to spend even more time with the fans. That means, first we're going to cheer on the volleyball together and then I want us to meet in a concert right after that. But in order to do that, I think we need to get a lot better... especially when it comes to talking. Well, there's no other way but to improve by doing! I said this already last month, but do your best without doing your best! I thought of these words myself, since it's not good if you behave strangely by putting in too much an effort, so it's probably the best to go forward while being relaxed about it. When I heard that we'd release a CD as major debut, I was so happy, but at the same time I thought, "From now on it's a challenge!" All of the members are also full of enthusiasm, and all of us want to go forward with positive expectations. In the song "Kibou ~ Yell ~", the lyrics convey a strong message with which we really can identify, and I love the song very much. I want more and more people to listen to it and cheer the national volleyball team on!
[YamaP recently]
When I have a day off, I take my dog for a walk. It usually takes around 30 minutes, but when I go out with my dog, it feels as if I don't get tired of walking at all and it's a lot of fun. Like we breathe in a lot of minus ions. *laughs*
