news_jpophere's something completely unrelated to the bad news of NEWS. to cheer you all up.
seventeen's doing this thing right now, where they interview one NEWS member per issue. it's called NEWStyle, and the first volume was with the entire group. the second, in the january 2006 issue, was with yamapi. the third and the fourth, which i have already, were with nishikido ryo and koyama keiichiro. there will be more coming.
but. i don't think there's going to be one with kusano. or with the guy that got arrested earlier. (but that was already pretty obvious.) um. yeah. so if you guys like this interview and want me to do the rest, i'll do them.

Q&A with Yamapi ‘Revealing His Private Life’
Q : Do you have any siblings/pets?
A : One little sister (17). And two dogs, P and Hime. (Miniature Dachshunds, both female)
Q : Are you left or right handed?
A : Both! Right -> writing, baseball, soccer. Left -> Chopsticks, bowling, darts, ping-pong, billiards.
Q : What’s your favorite place to go?
A : The ocean/beach. Especially during the summer. I love it from morning to night.
Q : How many times do you mail people during the day, on average?
A : 2 or 3 times.
Q : What’s your ringtone?
A : It’s always on manner mode (vibration mode). I download a lot of songs…how pointless. (Laughs)
Q : What comes to mind when you think of New Year’s?
A : Osechi. I love datemaki. (Osechi is basically what you call everything you eat on New Year’s. Datemaki’s this thing made of eggs and stuff. It’s hella good.)

A : No. But yesterday, there was this fortune telling book sitting around at one of the locations where we were filming a drama. It said that I “don’t give up and let things go when I go/aim for them”. And it’s true!

A : People lying to me. And when people break promises – I hate that. When people all of a sudden back out on plans at the last minute, I get really, really angry. I can’t just be like “Oh, okay.” I’d be like “Are you fucking shitting me? My plans are all ruined now!” (Okay. He didn’t say ‘are you fucking shitting me?’ but he said something close to that without the bad words. And I didn’t know how else to express it in English. lol.)
Q : What’s your favorite food?
A : Sushi (Chuu toro aburi! ßtype of fish)and Yakiniku (Korean BBQ) (Haramißtype of meat)!

A : Eat well, sleep well, play well. When I’m busy, I don’t really have time to have fun and play. But I still do! It’s really important. Because that’s what people live for!

A : Forrest Gump. The fact that he naively tries his best is really admirable and beautiful and I like that.
Q : What do you have a habit of saying really often?
A : “I dunno.” I say it a lot in interviews.

A : “When someone does something to you, do the same back!” It’s what my mom told me when I was little. I still follow it.

Q : When you’re at your house, where do you usually relax?
A : I’m always sleeping in the living room. There’s always a futon folded up by the window. There’s a TV in there too, so it’s really comfortable and convenient. My room’s so full of clothes that once you enter the room, you can barely see my bed. There’s a rack in front of my closet, and it’s full of jackets. My underwear’s all arranged on top of my wardrobes. Then there’s my bed, where my dogs and my mom are always sleeping. (Laughs)
Q : What’s fashionable to you?
A : Wearing what you want to wear.
Q : What do you like about your body?
A : My boobs and my eyelids. I’m a little pigeon-breasted but I have a really nice chest. (Laughs) My bust is 93 cm!
Q : What do you not like about your body?
A : I don’t have any facial hair. I want a little beard/goatee, but not a single hair has grown for 20 years.
Q : If tomorrow morning, you woke up in a girl’s body, what would you do?
A : First, I’d look at/check out my body very carefully. Then, I’d want to wear girl clothes.
Q : When have you ever thought that you’re a really good/nice guy?
A : I’m always a pretty good guy. I think I’m actually really nice sometimes.
Q : When have you ever thought that you’re a really mean, bad guy?
A : In the mornings, even if my friends call me up, I tell them I’m too sleepy and I never agree to hang out with them or anything. I’m so weak in the morning. But then, once I’m awake around noon, I call them up and ask them to hang out with me…I’m so selfish! (Laughs) I think that makes me a really evil guy.
Q : What do you think girls/guys should do?
A : Guys, don’t lie! Girls should fall in love ♪

A : Myself – A relative (?). Nishikido – My cousin. Koyama – My second cousin. Katou – My dad. (Isn’t he dad-ish? He seems like the type that would work really hard for us.) Q : Show us a picture that you’ve taken by yourself recently.
A : Title “Before -> After”. (It’s the picture of the banana in the corner of the page, if you can see it. lol.) I took a picture of the before and after of bananas, which I love. The emptiness and the way the banana’s cut is really artistic, isn’t it?
Q : When you go shopping, are you impulsive? Or do you think carefully first?
A : I’m a very impulsive shopper. If I want something, I get it without thinking at all. I usually don’t even try on the clothes. So I do a lot of bad shopping, actually. There are a lot of times when I go to vintage stores and buy something I really like, and then I go home and realize it’s for women. (Laughs)

A : Military style. Because I’m really into military style clothes myself right now. Whether I prefer skirts or pants? Hmm. If that girl were my girlfriend, I would prefer pants. Not skirts! I don’t want random guys to be checking her out. I’m a really possessive guy.
Q : What are your favorite colors?
A : Black, white, and gold.
Q : If you were to give your girlfriend a gift, what would you give her?
A : Pumps! As if she were Cinderella. (Laughs) Don’t you think it’d be kind of cool and fashionable? To give shoes to your girlfriend as a gift?
Q : What style/look are you into?
A : Definitely sagging/low-rise jeans! I hate wearing pants normally. And I only wear skinny jeans every once in a while. I don’t like it when the pants are really tight in the ankle area. I don’t want my jeans to be too wide/baggy, or too skinny. Oh, and I hate socks. I never wear socks. But it’s okay, because the lower half of my body never gets sweaty. Generally, I wear a lot of jackets. And I like jeans the best. I own about 30 pairs of pants, and about 10 of them are jeans.
A : I always want to have something vintage. I love vintage clothes. When I went to Hawaii for work, I bought a lot of vintage clothes!
A (No, he really had 3 answers.): This winter, definitely jackets with fur. Jackets with fur are something I’m definitely going to wear this winter. I’ll rotate them so I’ll wear lots of different ones! There are a lot of different types, but I think it looks the cutest/best when there’s just a little bit of fur on the outside. I just bought a new military style shirt and I’m having them put fur and studs on it. I’m really excited for it to be finished. I’m getting them to put fur on the right shoulder.
Fur (It’s next to the little picture of fur) : The fur that I’ve ordered them to put on my shirt is detachable. This is the short type of fur. I don’t like fur just because it’s cute – I like it because it’s warm too! (Laughs)
Gold Accessories : The last time I went to a sauna, there was this guy there with a gold necklace. It looked really cool and manly, so I decided I wanted to wear gold accessories too!
Sunglasses : I really love sunglasses, and I have so many pairs that I can’t count them all. Most of them are brown or black, but I have some in blue too. I like square kinds like the one in this picture and aviator sunglasses too.

he's so cracky and weird, but i still love him too. haha.
and tego as a cat would be adooorable, even though he already is adorable enough. lol.
the koyama interview will be done soon after the ryo interview, which is next. mind you, he doesn't look his hottest in the pictures. i've seen him look better. but they're not ugly, or anything. don't worry. haha.
